True biblical discipleship based on Acts chapter two includes:  a deep focus on Christ’s teaching in the scriptures, a dedicated commitment to prayer both personally and corporately, living in community, and reaching out to others.  Last week, I was able to cover the first three in somewhat detail, but I want to “stall” on number three before I focus on reaching out to others.  We talked about living in community as an opportunity for “other centered” living.  But I feel its important we draw from other verses of scripture to help define that more clearly.

So this morning, we continue our church’s journey to pursue our vision of discipleship through small groups and targeted events by highlighting some more concrete definition of what discipleship should look like and how its lived out in community.   Specifically how we can love one another, sharpen one another, and build one another up in our faith?

Keep an eye on the small groups and targeted events that are upcoming.  They are our emphasis for growth and development and they will be a bridge to reaching out to others.  Looking forward to the journey together!

Blessings, Pastor John
