Next weekend, we will have Ben and Brenda Peters with us for a special weekend of prophetic emphasis.  The focus of the weekend is to allow opportunity for each of us to hear from God and be strengthened in our faith as we worship and press into His presence.  This morning, I want to take an opportunity to share some expectations for the upcoming weekend.

I will be sharing three principles from scripture of what the purpose of prophecy in the New Testament is all about.  Specifically, we will be looking at 1 Corinthians 14:3, and the emphasis of exhortation, edification, and comfort described as the main focus of prophecy.  In addition to those truths, I want to paint a picture of what we should NOT expect during the weekend.

As I have said from the pulpit, I have high expectations for what God wants to do during this weekend and I encourage you to join me in fasting and praying for the upcoming meetings.  I mentioned via email that I will be at the building on Tuesday evening at 7pm to pray and invite anyone and everyone who can join us for that special time for prayer.  Let’s have God expectations for these meetings and be prepared to have an encounter with Him!

Kingdom Blessings, Pastor John
